AppGaps Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aybini Investments LLC (“AppGaps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the AppGaps mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Apple ID information (if you choose to sign in with Apple): your name and/or email address, or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide your email. We never see your Apple ID password.
- Search queries and app selections: the niches you search and the apps you choose to analyze.
Information collected automatically
- Anonymous device identifier: when you first open the App, we create an anonymous account (via Firebase Authentication) so you can use the App without signing in. This anonymous identifier is not linked to your real-world identity unless you later sign in with Apple.
- Usage data: which niches you search, which apps you select for analysis, features you use (saving niches, saving opportunities, adding apps to your Watchlist), and how many free searches you've used.
- Device and diagnostic information: standard technical data such as app version, device type, and crash/error logs, used solely to keep the App working correctly.
- Push notification token (only if you enable notifications): a device token used to deliver alerts about new gaps found in niches or apps you're tracking.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect health data, financial account information, precise location, contacts, photos, or biometric data.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the App's core functionality (analyzing public App Store reviews and generating insights)
- Save your searches, saved niches, saved opportunities, and Watchlist so they persist across sessions
- Send you notifications you've opted into (e.g., new gaps found in a Watchlisted app)
- Process subscription purchases and verify your subscription status
- Maintain and improve the App's reliability and performance
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use your personal information to train AI models, and we do not sell it to advertisers.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
AppGaps relies on the following third-party service providers, each of which processes limited data as described:
| Service | What it processes | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions) | Account data, saved niches/opportunities/Watchlist, usage records | Core backend infrastructure and data storage |
| App store scrapers, and AI models | The text of App Store review snippets and search queries you submit for analysis | Generates the AI-powered theme analysis, opportunity scores, and gap insights the App displays |
| Apple App Store / RevenueCat | Subscription purchase and status information | Processes and verifies subscription purchases; RevenueCat does not receive your payment card details, which are handled entirely by Apple |
| Apple's public App Store review data | Publicly available app reviews for apps you select to analyze | This is public data already published by other users on the App Store; we do not access or analyze your own personal reviews or purchase history |
| Expo push notification service | Your device's push token | Delivers notifications you've opted into |
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.
4. Data Retention
- Analysis results (niche/app review analyses) are cached temporarily to avoid re-processing identical requests, and expire automatically after a limited period.
- Saved niches, saved opportunities, and Watchlist entries persist until you remove them or delete your account.
- Anonymous usage/rate-limit records are retained only as long as needed to enforce free-tier search limits.
- If you delete your account (available directly in the App's Profile screen), we permanently delete your saved niches, saved opportunities, Watchlist entries, account record, and push notification token. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — subscriptions are managed separately through your Apple ID and must be canceled via your device's Subscription settings or the App Store.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing.
- Delete your account and data: available at any time via Profile → Delete Account within the App.
- Manage notifications: control push notification permissions in your device's iOS Settings.
- Contact us: for any other privacy request, email [support@appgaps.com].
6. Children's Privacy
AppGaps is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. International Data Transfers
Our service providers, including Firebase/Google Cloud, may process and store data in the United States or other countries. By using the App, you consent to this transfer, in accordance with applicable law.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including Firebase App Check (device attestation) to help ensure requests to our backend genuinely come from the real AppGaps app, and access controls limiting who can read or write your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and, where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
